“Holly Rose saved my life last year. I turned to Ms. Rose when not one, not two, but three different real estate agents had botched their work with me. I had pretty much decided that I would not sell my home and would not try to buy a new home. My entire disposition towards the words “real estate” was that it was an UNREAL profession and the only estate to which it belonged was an irresponsible one.
A close friend who knew of my problems carefully suggested that I might try just one more time, and she recommended Holly Rose. I contacted Holly and told her my complicated circumstances, expecting her to walk away from a “headache client.” She didn’t walk away. In fact, she did the antithesis of what everyone else in the business did: she made me feel calm and in not only competent hands, but ones I could completely rely on and trust. Now that was a different concept!
I had a complex situation but a good problem. A big, gorgeous house in Piedmont to sell…but as a single, working mother, I didn’t want to sell it until I had found a house to buy. There was no way I wanted to be without a home when two little boys and a dog needed me to put a roof over all of our heads! And, that constraint didn’t work at all in a frenetic marketplace. Troops of agents told me I couldn’t make this work. Not Holly Rose.
She spent a lot of time with me and really walked me through what I wanted and how I was going to get it. And she asked an innocent question about returning to a certain house that had “fallen through”…a house laden with complicated circumstances (again!) and a house I was completely in love with and had lost four months earlier. I told her it would never work but if she wanted to try again, I wouldn’t stop her.
Guess where I live now? I live in the house I wanted to move into from the moment I saw it covered in blooming wisteria. I live in a house that needed almost everything done to it and I live in a house I was able to afford because of Holly’s quiet, calm negotiations, patience, tenacity and experience. I never, ever, felt that her recommendations were anything but sane and strategic and right. And she was without one false step throughout the entire process.
It wasn’t easy, and yet it wasn’t a nightmare because I had a great person guiding me every step of the way. I knew I could call her any time (and I did) and I knew she would do everything in her power – to answer, solve, soothe, pursue, re-group and succeed – that was necessary for me.
So this is my letter of recommendation and thanks to a remarkable woman. I’m a busy person but if any of you reading this wish to call me and have a conversation, it would be my pleasure.”
