What if your commute to work only lasted 30 seconds? My client, a professional artist, had a dream of being able to work at home, yet still have a buffer zone from the distractions of everyday home life, including a young child. He and his wife wanted to stay in Elmwood, a neighborhood to which they were already attached and which exemplified their vision of a walkable, family-friendly community. The stars aligned and we found a fine old home with a rare, 4-wide row of attached garages at the rear. Given the age of the property, they may have started out as stables, but now one is already an elegant studio while the remaining 3 are exciting blank slates.
