Sometimes, a Midcentury Modern home will trumpet its style from a block away. But sometimes, the Midcentury flair is not apparent until entering the home. I loved working with my clients to help them buy this wonderful home on Estates Drive (the Piedmont side of Montclair). It looks like an ordinary Ranch style home on the approach, but once inside, everything changes. The beautiful, iconic Midcentury (1954) architecture is expressed through the streamlined, single-plane lofted ceiling, natural wood paneling, open floor plan, and walls of glass framing an expansive view. Even though in need of significant engineering, this home was special enough to attract 10 offers!
